Preparing Digital Files
If you are submitting digital files for printing please be aware of the following information which will ensure both optimum quality prints and a speedy completion of your order.
• Files must be in RGB, with an sRGB colour profile
• File resolution should be 300dpi
• Files MUST be Jpeg or 8bit Tif, a charge will be incurred for other formats.
• There are three options when printing your files, please select from the list below.
Ask for FILL IN if the image shape does not fit the
paper format, and your image can be cropped.
Your picture will be cropped on two edges, and will
fill the paper.

No cropping will occur but two sides will have
a white border.
Ask for NO RESIZE if you have sized your image
to 300dpi at the exact size you need. For example
an image set at 300dpi at 5x7 will print at that size,
regardless of the paper size chosen.
This option is also useful if your image is cropped
to an unusual size - for instance 9x5 which could be
printed centrally on a 10x8 sheet of paper - or
trimmed afterwards to be borderless.
• For large orders, please size your files @ 300dpi to approximately the correct image size.
As a guideline:6x4 = approx 6mb
7x5 = approx 9mb
10x8 = approx 20mb
8x12 = approx 24mb
10x12 = approx 30mb
10x15 = approx 38mb
We can print
your photographs with or without a 4mm white border,
on Matt, Glossy or Lustre
paper.
Please state your preference when placing your order.
If you would like a calibration print before placing your order, please email us, prints@panther-imaging.com, including your name and full postal address, You will also need a digital file of the image to load on your computer. This can be downloaded from here, or we can send you a CD with your calibration print.
Please use this calibration chart to adjust the brightness and contrast on your monitor, until it matches the print.
